90 YEARS OF THE VOUVRAY AOC

Since 1936, Vouvray has showcased the elegance of Chenin far beyond its borders, driven by winemaking expertise deeply rooted in its terroir. In 2026, the appellation will celebrate its 90th anniversary—a year dedicated to sharing, discovery, and innovation, with a program designed to showcase the full richness of the vineyard.

The highlight of these festivities will take place on July 11, 2026: the village of Vouvray will come alive with meet-and-greets with winemakers, walks through the vineyards, and friendly wine tastings, followed by a grand evening in the gardens of Château de Valmer, featuring a banquet and special surprises in an exceptional setting.

The Village

To celebrate the appellation’s 90th anniversary together, the village of Vouvray will be transformed for one day into a vibrant hub for discovery and connection centered around AOC wines.

More than 50 wineries will come together in a festive and friendly atmosphere to offer tastings and opportunities to chat throughout the day. Enjoy live music, food stalls, family-friendly activities, and walks through the vineyards. Saturday 11th of July, from 9am to 6pm, free entry.

The Banquet

The day of July 11 will continue with a magnificent banquet in the gardens of Château de Valmer, an iconic location within the appellation. The evening will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will conclude in style with an unforgettable surprise! Reservations required—check the program!
